In response to the extreme weather being experienced in the Penrith region of Western Sydney, Rowing Australia (RA) wishes to provide the rowing community with the following update in relation to the staging of the 2022 Australian Rowing Championships (ARC):
RA’s strong desire is to deliver a safe and successful 2022 ARC. In conjunction with the NSW Office of Sport, and other relevant stakeholders, we are closely monitoring the situation and we continue to plan for the event to be held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) between 28 March and 3 April 2022.
Contingency locations and dates are also being considered. In order to provide all participants with time to plan their travel to, and attendance at the 2022 ARC, RA will determine if the 2022 ARC will move to an alternative date, and/or alternate location, on Monday 14 March.
