Predicted Conditions

Conditions for the sixth day of racing at #ARC23 are expected to have strong winds in the first half of the day then easing. No rain is forecast, and the temperature will reach a top of 25C at 2pm (all times WST).

Athlete to Watch

The excitement is brewing for the upcoming races at #ARC23, and our Two Richards (Volunteers of the Day) have their eyes fixed on one athlete in particular: Lilee Lunney. Lunney’s prowess as a coxswain is impressive, as she’s set to lead the University of Queensland-QAS Eight (scheduled from 1:55pm on Saturday) in the highly anticipated Open Women’s Coxed Eight event. That’s not all, as she’ll then move on to cox the Queensland Queen’s Cup Eight in the Interstate event. The Two Richards have no doubt that Lunney is one to watch.

Event/Race to Watch

Get ready to witness the ultimate display of power, strength, and speed as the sun sets on the sixth day of #ARC23. The Open Men’s Coxed Eight Sprint is the finale (scheduled 5:30pm). This is a race that demands your full attention, covering a distance of 500m in the blink of an eye. Don’t let your guard down, or you might miss the heart-pumping action that will leave you breathless.

Sprint Events Take Shape

There’ll be some fast and furious action tomorrow as the Sprint Events make their debut. Kicking off at 3:00pm WST, the Schoolgirl Coxed Quadruple Scull will be the first race of the day. Don’t let the word “sprint” fool you, these events are just as competitive as a full 2000 metre race!

Last Chance

As the final day of #ARC23 approaches, don’t forget to explore the various stalls and sponsor tents to get the full experience. With an outstanding range of products on offer, you don’t want to miss out! If you haven’t already, make your way to the ‘Warm Up’ shed and give it your all on the Erg to compete for some exciting prizes.

Note: Racing was suspended late on Friday following winds creating sub-optimal conditions for competitors. This resulted in a number of races being cancelled and rescheduled into Saturday’s timetable. Keep an eye on the schedule for any updates.
